Early Years Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Maidstone from September 2026. The role is a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term position supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum and daily activities.
• Support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record children’s progress and share observations with staff and parents.
• Contribute to classroom organisation, preparation of resources and supervision during play.

Required profile

• Level 3 CACHE qualification or equivalent Early Years qualification.
• Experience working with children in an Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Patience, caring attitude and commitment to meeting individual needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff and families.
