Early Years Teaching Assistant – Level 3 (SEND, 1‑2‑1)

About the role

Join a supportive school environment in Wallasey as a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant, working one‑to‑one with SEND children. You will partner with the classroom teacher to deliver daily routines, learning activities, and a positive learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1‑2‑1 support to an early years child, adapting activities to their needs.
• Assist the teacher with managing classroom routines and small‑group tasks.
• Help modify challenging behaviour and promote a calm, engaging environment.
• Support the child’s day‑to‑day learning and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Proactive, supportive attitude with confidence working with children of varying abilities.
• Strong communication, patience and ability to follow teacher directions.
• Genuine passion for education and flexibility to adapt to classroom needs.
