Early Years Teaching Assistant – Supply (Leeds)

About the role
Join a dynamic supply team supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classrooms across Leeds. You will help young learners take their first steps in education through play‑based activities and targeted literacy and numeracy support.
Key responsibilities
- Assist class teachers in delivering the EYFS curriculum, focusing on early literacy, numeracy and phonics.
- Facilitate creative, play‑based learning sessions that engage children and promote development.
- Maintain classroom routines, ensure safety, and support individual pupil needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support using recognised phonics programmes.
Required profile
- Recent, verifiable experience as a Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner in a UK primary or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its core areas.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
- Enthusiastic, warm, and adaptable approach to working with young children.
