About the role

We are seeking an Ecologist to join our established environmental and sustainability consultancy in Cambridge. The role involves delivering ecological surveys, assessments and technical reporting across a diverse portfolio of development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct habitat surveys and ecological appraisals for a range of sectors.
• Prepare technical reports and survey documentation for environmental assessments.
• Provide ecological input throughout project lifecycles and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with planners, environmental specialists and project teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in ecology or environmental consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK ecological legislation, policy and guidance.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Based within reasonable commuting distance of Cambridge.
