Economics & Business Studies Teacher (QTS) – Head of Department Option

About the role

We are partnering with a high‑performing sixth‑form college in Ladbroke Grove to recruit an enthusiastic Economics and Business Studies teacher. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the possibility to progress to a Head of Department position for candidates with proven leadership experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Economics and Business Studies lessons for post‑16 learners.
• Support students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop critical thinking skills.
• Contribute to a collaborative department culture and share best practices.
• If appointed as Head of Department, lead curriculum development, mentor staff and drive departmental performance.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Economics and/or Business Studies at KS5 level.
• Strong subject knowledge, classroom management and communication abilities.
• Leadership or management experience is desirable for Head of Department candidates.
