About the role
Fostering People is seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator to join its fostering team in West Bridgford. Working 21 hours per week on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, you will help ensure looked‑after children receive the educational support they need to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advice and support on educational issues to foster parents and staff.
- Maintain and proactively use the CHARMS database (training provided).
- Analyse and produce data and reports on children’s education for management meetings.
- Deliver training packages to foster parents and internal staff.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to children’s educational plans.
Required profile
- Commitment to improving educational opportunities for looked‑after children.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently while staying in touch with the team.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively to analyse educational data.
- Confidence in delivering training and presenting information.
- Awareness of the relevant Code of Practice.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the CHARMS database.
What we offer
- Basic salary range £14,117.74 – £23,529.57 per annum.
- 21 hours per week, 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
- 30 days annual leave (rising to 35 days with service) plus bank holidays.
