Education Solicitor – Specialist in Education Law

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Education Solicitor to join our specialist Education Law Team. The role involves handling a diverse range of education‑law matters, representing teachers, students and parents in complex cases with schools, trusts and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across multiple areas of education law, ensuring work meets the highest professional standards.
• Conduct case management efficiently, adhering to firm policies and cost‑effective practices.
• Utilise time‑recording systems and IT tools effectively.
• Represent clients in primary & secondary school matters such as admissions appeals, exclusions and contractual disputes.
• Advise on SEN/EHCP issues, including EHCP applications, assessments and appeals.
• Assist university students with sexual allegation cases, misconduct investigations, visa applications and fitness‑to‑practice proceedings.
• Contribute to business development and promote the firm’s reputation.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in education law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and maintain high professional standards.
