Education Travel Specialist

About the role

Join Discover the World Education as an Education Travel Specialist, supporting UK schools in planning and booking geography and language trips worldwide. You will act as the main point of contact for teachers, handling enquiries, tailoring itineraries and ensuring a seamless travel experience from quote to return.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with teachers to design and book educational travel programmes.
• Proactively upsell optional activities to maximise revenue per booking.
• Draft and respond to email and telephone correspondence.
• Process enquiries through the reservations system, guiding customers from quote to confirmed booking.
• Follow up quotes regularly to improve conversion rates and gather feedback.
• Deliver presentations to schools, both in‑person and virtually, often outside regular office hours.
• Provide coverage on the emergency phone roster as needed.

Required profile

• Passion for travel, cultures and educational experiences.
• At least two years of proven sales experience in a similar role or experience as a teacher.
• Ability to create bespoke itineraries for specific destinations.
• Confidence presenting to parents, teachers and students, both live and online.
• High flexibility, strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent numeracy, spoken and written English.
