Educational Programme Director – Pharmacist (Foundation Trainees)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate pharmacist to lead the education programme for our foundation trainee pharmacists. You will join a supportive team at Oxford University Hospitals and help shape the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Local Learning Set Lead and oversee the quality assurance of foundation trainee pharmacist training.
• Develop and deliver the reformed curriculum, including small‑group teaching and independent prescribing integration.
• Supervise assigned trainee pharmacists as a designated or diploma supervisor.
• Liaise with NHSE Education Programme Directors and contribute to regional training strategies.
• Support strategic planning for the GPhC initial education and training rollout (2025‑26).
• Design and run a hospital‑based training programme for undergraduate pharmacy students.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with experience as a designated or diploma supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver training, mentorship, and curriculum development.
• Strong commitment to education and continuous improvement in pharmacy practice.
