eFX Java Developer – OMS (Remote, up to £160k)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java developer to join an award‑winning FX trading FinTech team. The role focuses on building and maintaining high‑performance Order Management System (OMS) components, with a fully remote work setup and a competitive salary up to £160k.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise low‑latency Java modules for the OMS.
• Implement FIX protocol venue adapters and integrate automated trading systems.
• Build and maintain smart order routing (SOR) solutions.
• Collaborate with traders and product owners to deliver performance‑critical features.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Core Java SE with deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, synchronization/locking and collection frameworks.
• Proven ability to optimise code for performance and minimise garbage‑collection overhead.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in trading technology environments.
