EHCP Coordinator

About the role

The Learning Support Department at Woking College is seeking an EHCP Coordinator to deliver comprehensive support to students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This term‑time position blends administrative duties, practical assistance, and one‑to‑one emotional support, ensuring each learner receives the tailored help they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain EHCP documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for students with EHCPs, including scheduling and record‑keeping.
• Deliver practical and emotional assistance during classroom activities and one‑to‑one sessions.
• Assist Learning Support Assistants with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Collaborate with teachers, external agencies, and families to develop and review individualized support plans.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment within the dedicated Learning Support area.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated empathy and a genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.
• Ability to work full days, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am–4:00 pm.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
