EHS Advisor – 12‑month contract in Clitheroe

About the role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join a global chemicals and sustainable technologies company for a 12‑month contract at our Clitheroe site. You will support the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, safety and quality systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and company strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply new and existing EHS legislation to develop site monitoring procedures.
• Maintain and enhance EHS policies, procedures and training programmes.
• Provide EHS guidance during plant shutdowns and support occupational hygiene monitoring (dust, noise, HAVs, RPE fit testing, biological monitoring).
• Manage waste documentation, external audits and liaison with occupational health, emissions monitoring and calibration providers.
• Support COSHH system, SDS database and REACH registration dossiers.
• Assist in accident investigations, root‑cause analysis and EHS data reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audit programmes and maintain the SharePoint audit management and Action Tracking System.

Required profile

• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO audit processes.
• Knowledge of COSHH, REACH and occupational hygiene practices.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver EHS training.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
