EHS Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a global engineering and manufacturing organisation to find an experienced EHS Specialist. You will own site‑wide health, safety and environmental activities, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and driving continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote a positive HSE culture through coaching, engagement and visible support.
• Manage EHS systems, policies and procedures to meet UK legal requirements and ISO standards.
• Conduct audits, workplace inspections and risk assessments, tracking corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Deliver health & safety training, monitor performance metrics and maintain documentation for internal and regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within manufacturing, engineering or industrial settings.
• NEBOSH General Certificate minimum; higher‑level qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, incident investigations, contractor management and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
