Electrical Assembler – Braintree (Temp to Perm)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join a leading manufacturing organisation in Braintree. The role involves assembling and testing distribution and MCCB panels on a full‑time basis, with the possibility of moving from a temporary to a permanent contract after three months.

Key responsibilities

• Build and test distribution and MCCB panels to industry standards.
• Interpret technical electrical CAD drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Verify component quantities and quality before assembly.
• Assemble wiring loom kits using a range of hand tools.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and resolution.
• Produce test certificates and maintain manufacturing records.
• Meet customer dispatch dates while working with limited supervision.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Support management with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in electrical assembly or a similar role.
• Ability to read and understand technical electrical CAD drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to health and safety and a clean workshop.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
