About the role
Permanent position based in Ampthill, working alongside a market‑leading defence and aerospace company. The role offers the chance to develop specialised electrical assembly expertise within a growing engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manufacture cable and harness assemblies from engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Safe and competent use of hand tools.
- Operate jigs, fixtures and measuring tools to ensure product accuracy.
Required profile
- Experience in cable and harness manufacturing to specification.
- Understanding and application of ESD control measures.
- Proficiency with crimp tools and high‑accuracy hand soldering.
- Competence in using IT/software packages and maintaining 5S housekeeping standards.
- IPC‑620 certification or equivalent knowledge of IPC/J‑standards.
