Electrical Design Engineer (ICP) – Hybrid, £70k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer (ICP) to join a fast‑growing multi‑utility business. You will work on a diverse portfolio of electricity infrastructure projects, designing both low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV and HV electrical distribution networks in line with DNO, IDNO and ENA standards.
• Produce electrical calculations, network designs, schematics and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with utility providers, customers and internal project teams to secure technical approvals.
• Support project delivery from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior members of the design team.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing LV and HV electrical distribution networks.
• Background within an ICP, IDNO, DNO, utility contractor or consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of network design principles, approval processes and industry standards.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and drawings.
