Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Nordson Test & Inspection is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, testing and maintenance of new X‑Ray and Bond Test products. You will work in a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are encouraged and your contributions directly impact product development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and layout of electrical support systems for X‑Ray and Bond Test machinery.
• Create and document electrical panels, PCBs and general machine wiring.
• Perform basic mechanical design for electro‑mechanical elements.
• Prototype electrical and electronic circuits and conduct testing.
• Specify, document and manage electrical bills of materials.
• Support and improve the electrical design of existing product ranges.

Required profile

• Degree level education or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience designing electrical/electronic systems in an industrial setting.
• Experience with electromechanical systems such as robotics or production automation.
• Proven ability to work on medium to large engineering projects within a team.
• Willingness to travel between Aylesbury and Colchester and occasional international travel.
