About the role
Excelitas UK is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical circuitry for its photonics‑based products. You will work on xenon flashlamp systems and support existing field products while mentoring junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and implement systems electrical designs.
- Support product development of xenon flashlamp systems and existing field products.
- Mentor junior engineers and liaise with sub‑contract suppliers.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in electrical system design (IEC 60204‑1) and safety design (ISO 13849‑1 & 13849‑2).
- Strong fault‑finding, revision control and documentation skills.
Required skills
- IEC 60204‑1 compliance.
- ISO 13849‑1 & ISO 13849‑2 safety standards.
- E‑Plan design software.
- Siemens PLC and HMI programming, ladder logic.
- High‑voltage design (IEC 60204‑11), capacitor sizing.
- Commissioning experience (FAT & SAT).
