Electrical Design Engineer (SolidWorks / PLC)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with proven experience in designing electrical control systems. You will join an employee‑owned manufacturer that creates bespoke chemical dosing equipment for global industries such as water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, petrochemical and paper.

Key responsibilities

• Produce electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials for each project.
• Select and specify electrical components that meet customer requirements.
• Order components based on stock levels and project needs.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with SolidWorks Electrical.
• Background designing PLC‑based control systems in machinery manufacturing, automation or control‑panel environments.
