Electrical Engineer - Elephant and Castle

About the role

Smart Managed Solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on a contract in Elephant and Castle. It is a Monday to Friday role, 08:00-17:00, covering PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all electrical systems on site. The company helps organisations across the UK keep their facilities running safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain routine PPM on all electrical plant in line with site schedules and asset lists
• Complete reactive tasks across the building, including concessionary stores and fabric items, and highlight areas for improvement
• Remedy plant faults and defects promptly to maintain serviceability
• Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance System (e.g. Concept, Smart Hub) updated and close out PPM and reactive tickets accurately
• Complete paperwork for reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks
• Keep all Smart-managed plant rooms locked, clean and tidy

Required profile

• Formal training in City and Guilds Electrical Installations or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance
• 18th Edition BS7671 City and Guilds
• Experience in a similar role

Required skills

• Knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems
• Ability to fault-find using graphical information and alarm data
