Electrical Engineer – Energy Efficiency (Field Based)

About the role

Join a specialist engineering business operating in the energy‑efficiency and power‑quality sector. You will work autonomously across the South of England, receive specialist technical training and have clear progression to a regional leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, site surveys and installations on a variety of customer sites.
• Carry out power‑quality studies and fault‑finding investigations.
• Work across manufacturing, commercial, healthcare, food, aerospace and other industrial environments.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on larger installations before moving to a more autonomous role.
• Travel regularly throughout the South of England, with occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Gold Card electrical qualification.
• Commercial or industrial electrical background with installation and/or maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling frequently.
• Experience with larger electrical installations or high‑current cabling is advantageous.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £47,700 with typical earnings of £58‑65k (door‑to‑door pay, overtime, profit share).
