Electrical Engineer – Path to Project Management

About the role

This permanent position is for an experienced Electrical Engineer or senior electrician who wants to move off the tools and develop into a Project Manager. You will work on commercial and industrial projects, taking ownership of control and automation systems from installation through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver full electrical installations and commissioning on site for a variety of industrial and commercial clients.
• Maintain and troubleshoot control and automation systems.
• Collaborate with the office team to plan project scopes, schedules and resources.
• Support senior project managers and gradually assume project‑lead responsibilities.
• Travel locally using a company vehicle to serve a defined patch of sites.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer or electrician with solid experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrated work with control systems, automation or similar technologies.
• Desire to progress into a Project Management role.
• Full UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites.
