Electrical Engineer Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy operating across the Central Belt of Scotland. You will help extend the life and safety of electrical equipment by identifying potential defects early and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out quality assessments and inspections of fixed wiring installations and electrical plant equipment.
• Produce detailed reports documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Ensure customers meet vital industry regulations and safety standards.
• Perform door‑to‑door field service on a Monday‑Friday schedule with flexible hours.
• Collaborate with clients to communicate technical issues clearly.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Significant practical experience as a domestic or industrial electrician.
• Experience working in hazardous (COMPEX) environments.
• Strong electrical background with testing and inspection expertise.
• Residence within the Central Belt of Scotland for an easy commute to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
