Electrical Engineering Manager (Assets)

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Manager will own the delivery of electrical asset maintenance across a large, multi‑site estate in Kent. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance & Infrastructure, you will lead both planned and reactive services, ensuring compliance, safety and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop an in‑house electrical team, including approved electricians.
• Act as the Authorised Person (Electrical) and control safe systems of work, permits and isolations.
• Maintain full compliance with electrical legislation, health & safety and governance standards.
• Develop, maintain and improve electrical PPM strategies within a CAFM environment.
• Manage electrical maintenance budgets and ensure procurement and financial compliance.
• Oversee specialist service contracts and supply‑chain performance.
• Produce accurate statutory and asset records, technical and financial reports.
• Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders and contribute to estate‑wide maintenance strategy.

Required profile

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or extensive industry experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience with electrical building services in complex estates.
• Deep knowledge of statutory electrical compliance and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑management capability.
• Strong experience with CAFM systems and PPM management.
• Budget management experience and excellent stakeholder communication.
