Electrical Engineering Manager

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Manager will report to the Head of Operations and lead the electrical engineering function across the business. This remote‑first position provides technical governance, troubleshooting, maintenance management and project delivery for all high‑voltage and low‑voltage assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanically‑biased engineers, providing hands‑on electrical expertise.
• Perform testing, inspection and rectification on electrical equipment across the fleet.
• Assemble, install, test, certify and maintain wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Plan and execute electrical projects in collaboration with Operations Support.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, asset management plans and maintenance strategies.
• Create Safe Work Instructions (SWI) for HV switchgear and deliver onsite training.
• Manage HV and LV planned maintenance contracts for existing and new sites.
• Liaise with DNO/HV contractors on outages and site issues.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in electrical engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of UK electrical legislation, IET Wiring Regulations and British Standards.
• Ability to work remotely while coordinating national teams.
