Electrical Engineering Tutor/Instructor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Tutor/Instructor to deliver high‑quality classroom training to learners in Swindon. You will be responsible for developing and presenting engineering modules, supporting students throughout their programmes, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve Electrical Engineering training modules.
• Coach, motivate and support learners to achieve their training objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment outcomes.
• Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and track performance.
• Prepare up‑to‑date lesson plans and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Solid occupational experience at supervisory level or above in a technical or engineering environment.
• HNC or HND in a relevant engineering discipline (General Electronics and Electrical Systems).
• Strong communication skills with a learner‑focused approach.
• Excellent organisational abilities and effective time‑management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems.
• Experience with single‑phase and three‑phase electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electromechanical equipment.

What we offer

• Starting salary £45,800, rising to £48,800 upon completion of Level 4 teaching qualification.
