Electrical Field Service Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a hands‑on Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team in an industrial utilities environment. You will maintain, fault‑find and improve critical water and wastewater assets, ensuring compliance, reliability and continuous improvement across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works on industrial equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain asset reliability.
- Work on three‑phase pump circuits, control panels and motor starters across operational sites.
- Support capital and operational project work, including automation improvements.
- Work safely in confined spaces and high‑risk environments, collaborating with internal teams and supervising contractors.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and follow safety procedures.
- Participate in a 1‑in‑6 standby rota with additional standby payments.
Required profile
- Proven industrial electrical maintenance and fault‑finding experience.
- Experience with pumps, 400 V three‑phase systems, control panels and industrial automation.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Recognised Electrical Qualification – NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3.
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
- Strong health‑and‑safety awareness and willingness to join the standby rota.
