Electrical Field Service Engineer (UK)

About the role
We are a well‑established, values‑driven business seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to cover the UK, primarily England. You will install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety, efficiency and high quality.
Key responsibilities
- Install, commission, service and fault‑find electrical equipment at customer locations.
- Carry out inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
- Complete service reports, commissioning records and site documentation.
- Work safely in line with RAMS, permit systems and HSE requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary.
- Coordinate site activities with project managers, commissioning managers and support teams.
- Support urgent customer call‑outs and maintain tools, test equipment, vehicles and spare parts.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional service and share feedback for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience in field service, installation, commissioning or maintenance within an engineering environment.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation and procedures.
- Good understanding of safe systems of work and risk management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
