Electrical Installation Engineer – Control Systems

About the role

Join one of the UK's leading control systems integrators as an Electrical Installation Engineer. You will deliver innovative automation and control solutions for the water industry across the South of England, working primarily on‑site with minimal overnight stays.

Key responsibilities

• Install new control panels at water treatment works and other customer sites.
• Commission PLC equipment and support customers alongside experienced Controls Engineers.
• Provide ongoing support for electrical control systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Work independently on some projects and collaboratively within a wider engineering team on others.
• Undertake training to develop PLC programming and controls engineering knowledge.

Required profile

• Electrical qualifications (C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC, HNC/HND) with 18th edition certification.
• ECS Gold Card holder or ability to obtain one (company‑supported).
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in service & support, electrical installation or maintenance.
• Experience in control panel design, manufacture or installation.
• Solid understanding of reading electrical diagrams for control panel wiring.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365) and BS7671:2018 compliance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
