Electrical Installation Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for Further Education providers in the South East of England. You will help learners develop practical installation skills, technical knowledge and confidence to succeed in the electrical and building services sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Electrical Installation lessons across a range of levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment in both classroom and workshop settings.
• Ensure all practical activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Support learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Installation, Electrotechnical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Electrical Installation in FE, HE, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Recent industry experience as an electrician, installer or engineer is desirable.
