Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Central London

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to deliver high‑quality electrical maintenance and ensure statutory compliance within a premium commercial office building in Central London.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all electrical plant and building assets.
• Troubleshoot and repair reactive faults in power distribution, lighting and HVAC control systems.
• Maintain Emergency Lighting systems, performing monthly flick tests and annual duration tests.
• Manage Building Management Systems (BMS) to optimise climate and lighting control.
• Conduct Fixed Wire Testing and remedial work to meet BS 7671 standards.
• Supervise specialist sub‑contractors for fire alarms, lifts and UPS systems.
• Perform minor installations such as new circuits, socket moves and LED retrofits.
• Monitor LV distribution boards, switchgear and sub‑main cabling.
• Use CAFM software on tablets/PDAs to log work orders and asset history.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent NVQ.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
• C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing certification (highly preferred).
• Proven experience working in high‑end commercial “Grade A” office environments.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with corporate tenants and stakeholders.
