Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Critical Shift (Data Centre)

About the role

We are seeking a Level 3 Data Centre Engineer to join our critical infrastructure team in West London. You will be responsible for keeping a premier data‑centre facility running at 100 % uptime by delivering electrical maintenance on critical plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on chillers, CRAC units, UPS systems, generators and switchgear.
• Act as first responder to site alarms and system failures, ensuring rapid resolution to meet SLA requirements.
• Provide 24/7 coverage on a continental shift pattern (rotating days and nights).
• Maintain accurate site logs and ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and site‑specific SOP/MOP/EOP documentation.

Required profile

• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience working in a critical environment such as a data centre.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance on critical plant equipment (chillers, CRAC units, UPS, generators, switchgear).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and site SOPs.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts.
