Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a world‑leading research organisation based on a 400‑acre campus in Cambridge. You will receive full on‑site training and work with a variety of modern and historic facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC units, fire alarm systems, smart building systems and standby generators.
• Perform routine inspections and corrective maintenance across multiple historical and modern buildings.
• Work Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:00 and Friday 08:00‑15:30, with overtime paid at 1.5×.
• Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure reliable operation of critical plant.

Required profile

• Electrical background with experience in facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work safely on a large, mixed‑use site.
• Motivation to develop skills across several electrical systems.

What we offer

• £40,000 base salary plus training and overtime (OTE ~£44,000).
