Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial building services team at a flagship site in King’s Cross, London. The role is static, Monday‑to‑Friday, offering a balanced work‑life schedule with no on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical and building services systems.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Maintain and service single‑phase and three‑phase power supplies, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, BMS, AHUs, FCUs, generators and VRV/VRF plant.
• Conduct basic water‑hygiene tasks such as temperature monitoring, tap testing, dosing and cooling‑tower checks.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, logbooks and compliance documentation.
• Supervise specialist contractors and support scheduled maintenance activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and site team.

Required profile

• Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and proactive approach to maintenance.
• Good communication and client‑facing skills.
• Apprenticeship background desirable but not essential.

What we offer

• Salary £50,000‑£55,000 per annum
• Monday‑to‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00, no call‑out rota
