Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our fast‑moving, automated manufacturing site. You will work on a rotating 4‑day/3‑day shift pattern, supporting plant reliability and contributing to ongoing improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all plant and machinery through fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and project work.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on Siemens and other PLC equipment.
• Service sensors, relays, contactors, drives, AC/DC motors and 3‑phase electrical systems.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Team to resolve cross‑disciplinary engineering issues.
• Provide input for new machinery development and system upgrades.
• Identify and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Completed recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, service or installation within an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with reactive and proactive plant maintenance practices.
• Ability to work safely and follow company policies and procedures.

Required skills

• Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• PLC fault diagnosis.
• Sensor, relay and contactor maintenance.
• Drive and motor (AC/DC) servicing.
• 3‑phase electrical system knowledge.

• Salary £53,000‑£54,000 per annum.
