Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing (Leeds)

About the role

An established international manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for its Leeds production facility. The role offers technical variety, involvement in continuous‑improvement projects, and long‑term stability within a growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose plant and equipment faults and implement engineering solutions.
• Support improvement and development projects across manufacturing operations.
• Perform hands‑on assembly, modification, and installation of equipment.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement activities across the site.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota.

Required profile

• Broad electrical engineering background in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Apprentice‑trained in Electrical Engineering; HNC or equivalent preferred.
• Analytical with strong fault‑finding skills.
• Quick learner with a proactive, hands‑on approach and excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• PLC programming and controls.
• Electrical fault diagnosis.
• Cabinet wiring and electrical maintenance.
• Control systems including motors, transformers and VFDs.
• Single‑phase and three‑phase power systems.
• Electronics and industrial electrical systems.
