Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing facility on a night‑shift roster (4 on / 4 off, 6:30 pm‑6:30 am). You will work within a dedicated electrical team, maintaining and improving plant equipment while ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fault finding, planned maintenance, shutdowns and project work on all plant and machinery.
• Identify and implement solutions that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support handover to the day shift and accurately log all work performed.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and the 5S housekeeping system.

Required profile

• Completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or hold equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in electrical engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, team‑oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and progress.

Required skills

• 3‑phase motor knowledge (star/delta).
• Sensors, inverters and VSD (variable speed drive) systems.
• PLC fault finding.
• Contactors, relays and servo drives.
• General electrical installations and maintenance.

What we offer

• Salary £58,000‑£60,500 per year, dependent on experience.
• Overtime paid at 1.5× and 2× rates.
