Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Underground (3‑Shift)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a world‑leading mining and materials company on a site based in Winsford. The role operates on a 3‑shift pattern (early, day and night) and involves electrical fault‑finding and maintenance of underground mining equipment, with the opportunity to gain hands‑on mechanical training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned electrical maintenance on Joy mining machines, conveyors, crushers and other heavy plant equipment.
• Carry out electrical fault finding across underground mining environments to minimise production downtime.
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary engineering team to ensure safe and reliable operation of mobile equipment.
• Participate in scheduled mechanical training to broaden technical capability.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures while working underground.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with experience in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Background working in mining, underground environments or similar industrial settings.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern including early, day and night shifts.
