Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Canary Wharf

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a day‑shift engineering team in the vibrant Canary Wharf district. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of mechanical and electrical plant across a commercial portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the day‑shift engineering team.
• Carry out and oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical plant assets.
• Perform plant isolation and enforce safe systems of work.
• Ensure repairs and remedial works comply with relevant standards.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist service visits.
• Complete logbooks, RAMS, and site documentation.
• Liaise with client representatives and attend site meetings.
• Provide performance updates to the Account Manager.
• Raise and close jobs using PDA/CMMS systems.

Required profile

• Fully qualified in electrical installations or electrical engineering (City & Guilds, EAL, NVQ or equivalent) with up‑to‑date wiring regulations knowledge.
• Supervisory experience within the commercial maintenance sector.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor in maintenance, projects or installation environments.
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification (desirable).
• Experience managing commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of RAMS, permits and method statements.
