Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

This position is with a market‑leading manufacturing business in Cramlington, seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team. You will be responsible for keeping plant and equipment running efficiently while minimizing production downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and implement rapid solutions to maintain production flow.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and preventive‑maintenance (PPM) on all types of electrical plant and equipment.
• Perform regular testing of new and existing electrical systems, machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Execute on‑the‑spot repairs when electrical systems or machinery malfunction.
• Understand, fault‑find and maintain PLC systems.

Required profile

• Relevant industry qualification in electrical or multi‑skilled engineering.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work within a continental shift pattern.

What we offer

• Salary between £50,973.68 and £57,528.97 per annum (including shift allowance).
• Continental shift pattern – alternating weeks of 60 hours and 24 hours.
