Electrical Maintenance Technician – Shift Pattern

About the role

An Electrical Maintenance Technician is needed for a large‑scale processing facility in West Sussex. Working on a 4‑on/4‑off rotating shift, you will help keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on sensors, relays, contactors, control panels, AC/DC motors and motor control centres.
• Perform fault finding on PLC systems, preferably Siemens S7.
• Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Support engineering projects, process improvements and instrumentation systems (pressure, temperature, flow).
• Maintain health & safety standards, report incidents and keep the work area tidy.

Required profile

• Qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent).
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or automated environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous but not essential.
