Electrical Process Technician

About the role
Join Southern Water’s Wastewater Treatment Team to maintain and repair wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations across the Kent region. You will ensure compliance with environmental, quality and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Install new plant and equipment as required.
- Respond to alarms, fault‑find issues and either fix or escalate them.
- Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures.
- Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
- Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
- Participate in standby cover as needed.
Required profile
- Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Desirable: experience in the water industry, strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment processes, knowledge of health and safety legislation.
