Electrical Project Engineer – Water Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Thames Water team at Mogden, Twickenham. The role involves delivering electrical engineering work for major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from design through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering activities across the project lifecycle and review technical documentation.
• Coordinate electrical installations with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and commissioning activities.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) systems under senior engineer guidance.
• Liaise with Thames Water representatives, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, water, power generation or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical installations, MCCs and power distribution systems.
• Understanding of health, safety and quality requirements on construction sites.
• Full driving licence and strong communication skills.
