Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

About the role

You will lead a small team of electricians, ensuring the quality and compliance of their electrical inspections and repairs while meeting performance targets. The role combines hands‑on technical oversight with reporting and coordination responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Countersign electrical certifications and record audit results.
• Assist the team with technical queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Report on team performance and ensure smooth operation of electrical testing programmes.
• Organise and present toolbox talks, health & safety briefings, and welfare reviews.
• Collaborate with administrators to keep the programme of works on schedule.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 2382‑18 BS7671 (or equivalent) qualification.
• City & Guilds 2395 Inspection and Testing Certificate.
• Post‑qualification experience with domestic and residential communal electrical systems.
• Proven experience carrying out EICRs and related testing.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to work weekends with reasonable notice.

Required skills

• BS7671 compliance knowledge.
• Inspection and Testing Certificate (C&G 2395).
• Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) execution.
