Electrical Service Engineer

About the role

ASC Connections Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join its service team. The role involves installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing specialist machine‑tool peripheral equipment for customers across the UK, providing both on‑site and remote technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service industrial machinery and machine‑tool peripheral equipment at customer sites.
• Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled service visits.
• Provide remote technical support via telephone and email, offering advice and troubleshooting.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records using digital service systems.
• Prepare equipment and documentation prior to installations.
• Attend product training to keep technical knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in line with company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar within manufacturing, machine tools or industrial automation.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding ability combined with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good IT proficiency.
• Full UK driving licence.
