Electrical Shift Engineer – Data Centre (West London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a high‑availability data centre in West London. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical and infrastructure systems across a 24/7 operation, ensuring reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks following electronic instructions.
• Perform fault finding and comprehensive diagnostics on all electrical and infrastructure systems.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper site logbooks for client approval.
• Liaise directly with client representatives to address queries and service requests.
• Monitor stock levels, manage consumables, and replenish inventory as needed.
• Conduct visual condition inspections and produce written risk reports.
• Adhere to HSE policies, report hazards, and support a zero‑harm environment.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns and emergency call‑outs, keeping clients informed.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Supervise subcontractor performance and report on their work.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / C&G or equivalent) with 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Previous experience on critical sites such as data centres or hospitals.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
