Electrical Shift Engineer – Day Shift, 4 on/4 off

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance team on a stable day‑shift pattern. The role offers a competitive salary and a 4‑on/4‑off schedule working days only.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to reactive breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair faults on complex electrical systems, control panels, distribution boards and lighting/power circuits.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Support small‑scale electrical installations, upgrades and commissioning of new machinery or site infrastructure.
• Participate in a 1‑in‑4‑week standby rota to provide emergency cover outside normal shift hours.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering or Installation (or equivalent).
• Desirable: 18th Edition (BS 7671) wiring regulations certificate.
• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a commercial, industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
