Electrical Systems Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team at Adsyst Automation Ltd’s new Sandhurst office. The role involves creating control system solutions, producing detailed electrical drawings, and retro‑fitting panels for projects across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Design control system architectures including PLCs, networks, SCADA/HMI and telemetry.
• Develop and update electrical schematics, panel layouts and general arrangement drawings using EPlan or AutoCAD.
• Produce functional and system design specifications (FDS, SDS) and related documentation.
• Identify, schedule and procure electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Conduct site surveys and support installation teams on‑site as required.
• Collaborate with other control‑system engineers to ensure project delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in electrical design and control‑system projects.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate clearly.
• Clean UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

• PLC programming and configuration.
• SCADA/HMI development.

• Network architecture design.
