Electrical Team Manager

About the role

Outsource UK is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation for an Electrical Team Manager based in Bristol (hybrid working). You will lead a team of six electrical engineers, overseeing sustaining engineering activities across the product lifecycle to ensure safety, reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of electrical engineers through clear objectives, regular one‑to‑ones and career planning.
• Drive adoption of best‑practice electrical engineering methods to improve quality, compliance and reliability.
• Coordinate work packages across cross‑functional teams and ensure delivery against project milestones.
• Own technical governance for sustaining product changes, including design reviews, approvals and configuration control.
• Lead root‑cause investigations, failure analysis, CAPA and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Plan and execute validation and verification activities with defined acceptance criteria and traceability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, service, supply chain and project management to deliver robust engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Significant experience applying electrical engineering principles in product design and development.
• Proven line‑management experience leading a technical team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
