Electrical Technician – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Join a leading property maintenance and facilities management specialist in South East England as an Electrical Technician. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical services across a portfolio of sites, supporting both planned and emergency work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including PAT testing, EICR (fixed wiring) inspections, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Diagnose faults, perform electrical repairs and routine servicing in line with current IEE regulations.
• Complete electrical certifications efficiently using modern digital software.
• Participate in emergency call‑out rotas and provide support to other trades when required.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment safely and professionally.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Electrical Regulations certificate.
• Full UK driving licence (clean preferred) and ability to pass a standard DBS check.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems/Legionella or holding PASMA/IPAF is desirable.
